This powerful rendition of a wild mustang "feeling his oats" and wildly dancing about was done in mixed media on suede mat board. I live where there are several herds of wild horses and I have the honor of photographing them and then painting them in action. I call this painting the "Mustang Dance"
I have loved sketching and painting since I was very young with nature and wild life being my passion. I have a master's degree in fine art and enjoy painting and sketching in many different mediums, oil being my favorite. Realism is my choice in style, and some would say "photo realism" since my paintings capture life in the eyes of wild animals and the beauty of nature at its best. Among my favorite types of art is oil painting, especially, the wild sea. I enjoy the movement and power of the pounding surf and waves crashing upon the rocks.
