I did this drawing of a homeless man that seemed to lack all hope. It is 8: X 10" on portrait paper for the original. When I saw this old man sitting near where they were handing out food to the homeless I asked him if I could take his picture and he agreed. I believe the eyes tell a story of disappointment and loss.
I have loved sketching and painting since I was very young with nature and wild life being my passion. I have a master's degree in fine art and enjoy painting and sketching in many different mediums, oil being my favorite. Realism is my choice in style, and some would say "photo realism" since my paintings capture life in the eyes of wild animals and the beauty of nature at its best. Among my favorite types of art is oil painting, especially, the wild sea. I enjoy the movement and power of the pounding surf and waves crashing upon the rocks.
